Another seasoned MPL PH coach is taking his talents to Indonesia, this time with one of the most successful MLBB organizations in the country, Team RRQ.

Four-time MPL ID champion RRQ Hoshi have acquired former ECHO head coach Michael “Arcadia” Bocado, the organization announced on July 27 on their YouTube page.

RRQ have yet to reveal whether he will join the coaching staff of RRQ Hoshi for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 10 (MPL ID Season 10) or oversee RRQ Sena, the organization’s Development League team.

In the video, MPL ID caster Rachael “Aeterna” Melati asked the veteran coach if he’s just following the trend of other Filipinos going to Indonesia this season.

“Definitely no,“ he said. “If it wasn’t RRQ who asked, I wouldn’t be here.”

The video ended with Arcadia posing for the camera with a question mark below his name, hinting that he could either be part RRQ Hoshi’s coaching staff or RRQ Sena.

Earlier this month, RRQ Hoshi held a live meet and greet party to announce its roster and coaching staff for next season, which includes the re-signing of previous coaches Petra “Fiel” Giovanni and Adi “Acil” Syofian Asyauri.

If the 30-year-old veteran were to join RRQ Hoshi’s coaching staff, he will be the second coach to lead an Indonesian team in Season 10, after ONIC Esports announced last month that they have recruited former ONIC PH head coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda.

This is also the first time Team RRQ has signed an import from the Philippines.

Last season, RRQ Hoshi won its fourth MPL ID title after taking down defending champion ONIC Esports in the grand final, booking an MSC 2022 ticket.

The King of Kings started strong in the group stage and the playoffs at MSC 2022. However, They fell short in the grand final against MPL PH Season 9 champion RSG PH and were unable to take a game in the best-of-seven series.

Arcadia started his MLBB coaching career with back-to-back championship team Sunsparks in Season 5 and remained with the organization after it rebranded to Aura Fire in Season 6, and ECHO in Season 8.

In Season 9, they were eliminated by Smart Omega in the play-ins stage. Two months after the season ended, Arcadia announced his departure from the team.
