The International 11 is more than one month away, but there’s plenty of Dota in the meantime.

ESL One Malaysia 2022 is returning to Genting after five years, and will feature 12 teams for an intense, six-day tournament with a US$400,000 prize pool.

ESL One Malaysia is a premier LAN event that is not part of the Dota Pro Circuit.

ESL One Malaysia is one of the last tournaments before The International 11 regional qualifiers begin in October—with the wildcard, group stage, and main event proper—and therefore a chance for participants to scope out their competition.

12 teams will be split into two groups, playing a single round-robin best-of-two.

The top two teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs. The next two teams will be placed in the lower bracket. The last two teams will be eliminated.

The playoffs is a double elimination bracket. Each match will be a best-of-three series. The grand finals will be played in a best-of-five.

12 teams from Europe, China, Southeast Asia, and the Americas will play at the event.

The prize pool stands at US$400,000, but the distribution has yet to be revealed.

You can watch the games live on ESL Dota 2’s official Twitch channel.
