It seems like Fnatic just can’t catch a break. The Southeast Asian (SEA) powerhouse just announced that its carry player, Marc “Raven” Fausto won’t be attending the ESL One Malaysia due to testing positive for COVID-19. Fnatic announced this unfortunate news just one day before the ESL One Malaysia begins.

UPDATE: Execration player, Jinn “Palos” Lamatao will fill in his shoes at the ESL One Malaysia.

Raven has been consecutively missing tournaments due to varying issues. He first missed the PGL Arlington Major after he, Armel, and Jaunuel, failed to get their VISAs approved. At the recently concluded Gamers Galaxy Thailand, Raven did not play during most of the tournament. The team director of Fnatic confirmed that it was indeed due to him catching COVID-19. Now, he is staying in Thailand to recover, while the team departs for Malaysia.

The organization also posted that they will reveal the stand-in for Raven that will play at the ESL One Malaysia in a couple of hours. UPDATE: The stand-in is revealed to be Palos, the current carry player for Execration.

The ESL One Malaysia begins shortly on August 23rd, with the Group Stage taking place. Fnatic’s first match would be against its SEA counterpart, BOOM Esports. You can follow the event closely through our ESL One Malaysia article where we have listed the complete schedule as well as live results.
