Two-time TI winning organization OG had an impressive group stage run at ESL One Stockholm Major. The European squad secured a second place finish in Group A with wins over Evil Geniuses, BetBoom Team, and beastcoast.

What’s even more surprising is that they did it all without their team captain, Mikhail “Misha” Agatov, who was unable to secure his visa and travel to Sweden to play in the Major.

Instead, OG’s TI8 and TI9 championship-winning duo, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, returned to the team as a player and coach respectively and helped the team exceed expectations in the group stage.

The team’s position 4 support player Tommy “Taiga” Le was elated by his team’s group stage performance. He even called out some of his doubters in his post-game interview after they defeated BetBoom Team.

“I know there are a lot of OG haters out there that want us to lose,” said Taiga.” We’re here without our captain, making it to the upper bracket, beating out a lot of teams.”

Taiga raved about their two legendary stand-ins, praising Ceb and N0tail for supporting the team in and out of the game.

“N0tail and Ceb are doing a lot of mental work on me,” he said. “Even though I see them relax on leadership, I still see Ceb improving each game he plays with us. I don’t see any limits with this guy. He might be 30 years old but his reactions are not slow, I can tell you that.”

During OG’s heyday when they won back-to-back TI championships, Ceb was best known as the team’s playmaking offlaner. However, at the Stockholm Major, he took over the hard support position for the team.

Ceb admitted that he struggled with his new role, but after getting a few reps as a position five player, he’s finally on the top of his game. He had his best game of the Major against BetBoom Team playing a support Windranger where he had a KDA of 13/4/14.

OG begin their Stockholm Major playoff run against North American squad TSM FTX on May 17, May 17, 12:00 a.m. GMT+8 | 9:00 a.m. PT | 5:00 p.m. GMT.
