The top two teams in the regular season persevered in the playoffs to reach the LPL Summer 2022 final, where JD Gaming edged out Top Esports 3-2 to win the championship.

JD Gaming are now first seed, while Top Esports heads into Worlds 2022 as the LPL’s second seed.

Two more places still need to be filled, to be determined in the LPL Regional Qualifiers 2022. The third seed will join JDG and TES in the Group Stage while the fourth seed will start their journey from the Play-Ins Stage.

Here’s everything you need to know about the LPL Regional Qualifiers 2022, including its schedule, results, format, teams, and where you can watch the matches live.

The top four teams with the most championship points — except for teams that already qualified for Worlds — will participate in the LPL Regional Qualifiers. Their seeding is based on championship points.

The LPL Regional Qualifiers 2022 feature a waterfall bracket played in best-of-five matches. In the first round, the first seed faces the second seed, and the third seed plays the fourth seed.

The match between the first and second seeds is a Worlds qualification match, with the winner qualifying for the Group Stage.

The losing team will then proceed to Round 2, where they’ll face the winner of the Round 1 match in the opposite bracket. The team who secures the Round 2 victory qualifies for the Worlds 2022 Play-In Stage.
