Europes elite returns on June 16 for the start of the 2022 LEC Summer Split. Although their undefeated streak has come to an end, G2 Esports will be looking to remain undefeated on home soil after sweeping the lower bracket to claim another LEC title. LEC Final Standing

Although the rosters will be different, the ten franchised teams will remain the same. All eyes will be on G2 Esports, who displayed both greatness and inconsistency at the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational. G2 attended the event in Seoul after an incredible lower bracket run which saw them go 12-0 to win the spring split.

The LEC Summer Split is separated into two sections, the regular season and the playoffs. The ten teams will compete in a double round-robin during the regular season. The top six teams will advance to the playoffs. Each match is a best-of-one.

Teams that competed in the LEC Spring Split will have earned championship points. Championship points will play a pivotal role in the summer playoffs. Strong performances in the spring playoffs and the summer regular season will see teams earn championship points. These points will determine the seeding for the Summer playoffs once the regular season has concluded.

If a team finishes below sixth place, they will lose all of their points. The Summer Split playoffs is a double-elimination tournament. Each match will be a best-of-five and the top three teams qualify for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.
