The million-dollar event this year, marks the end of the season, one that saw FaZe Clan win its first CS: GO Major. But for many of the IEM Cologne teams, this event is a way to establish their names in the CS: GO scene. Even though FaZe won the CS: GO Major, they are not the overwhelming favorites for IEM Cologne 2022. So who are the contenders? Which teams can potentially lift the trophy in front of the Cologne crowd. Here’s what we think<img src="https://cdn.owlscore.com/artilce/esportsgg/Heroic-TeamFistBump_IEM-Cologne-1024x683.jpg">Heroic is one of the few teams that dares to change even when it is a top team. The Danish core has made changes when it was at the top before and it has worked out for them. This time, Heroic comes into this event replacing Refrezh with Jabbi from Copenhagen Flames.Jabbi’s performance on CPHF has been impressive even though the players struggled to find a new home. Ultimately, we have seen the players now move on to different rosters. Jabbi joined Heroic while there are reports of Hooxie joining Team Liquid as they also try to reinvent their Cs: go presence.Heroic comes into this tournament as an unknown. Their performance in the play-in stage looked impressive. A 16-3 start to the tournament and a 2-1 victory over MOUZ, Heroic cruised through the Play-IN stage. They will face NiP in Group A, which also includes Navi, G2 and ENCE amongst others.&nbsp;For Heroic, finding the right synergy on the roster will be crucial. The players are still adjusting to each other and even though the swap is supposed to be a near 1:1 player swap in terms of role, it is the firepower that will enable Heroic to level up its game.As we head into this event, Heroic has its task cut out. The roster change is a risk, a chance that the management was willing to take to reach the top. There’s only two way this can go now, either they’ll become a top 2 team or they falter and probably lower towards just outside of the top 10. Only time will tell how Heroic steps up, however, we do expect Heroic to reach the playoffs. One of the best teams in the world, Navi’s roster change was an undesired one. Due to personal reasons and reputational risks to the org, Boombi4 was benched. The team has brought on sdy from MAD LIons on trial and hope to put up a strong performance.Navi’s strength has been its team synergy along with the firepower. With a new player, sdy, coming into the roster, it will be interesting to see how far Navi can go in this tournament. So far, however, Navi looked good. Their previous outing, the BLAST Premier Spring Finals, Navi just dominated everyone in the playoffs.This tournament was with sdy, saw S1mple dominate opponents ending the tournament with a 1.37 rating. His teammate, B1t also finished the tournament with a 1.20 rating, much higher than players from other teams. With two of the team’s stars putting up big numbers, it was no surprise to see Navi win the event with ease. Whether they can replicate the same form at IEM Cologne is still an open question.<img src="https://cdn.owlscore.com/artilce/esportsgg/Cloud9-1024x683.jpg">Cloud9 come into this tournament as one of the favorites. Their recent performance, the victory at IEM Dallas has certainly made them a strong contestant for this event. At IEM Cologne 2022, Cloud9 is one of the teams that can surprise everyone, even though they are already a strong team. It seems the hype surrounding the team is much lower than some of the other favorites for this event.&nbsp;The team finished 3-4th at the Roobet cup, however that is an event that many of the IEM Cologne teams have considered to be a ‘warm-up’ event. But they are not the favorites are they. Going off our article on the top team’s performance, the CSPPA changed the 2023 player break dates. With the biggest events out of the way, the team will be focusing on completing the Intel Grand Slam when Counter-Strike returns in August.After 8 failures at Cologne, Karrigan and Rain finally made it to the Grand Finals. And much like the Major, it seemed like the team was destined to win. With magical clutches and incredible resilience, the match will go down in history as one of the best Grand finals of all time. Let’s take a look at the match that crowned our IEM Cologne Champions.<img src="https://cdn.owlscore.com/artilce/esportsgg/FaZeClanCSGO-1024x1024.jpg">The opening map of the most anticipated Grand Finals kicks off on Inferno. But FaZe Clan quickly convert their lead to a 5-0. Now on a half-buy, s1mple pulls out a massive play, giving NaVi their first round.Immediately putting FaZe on the economic back foot, NaVi put together a streak of rounds tying the score at 6-6. FaZe Clan is unable to recover a 3v3 round where they left the bomb at spawn, and the half closes down at 9-6 favoring the Ukrainian side.The second half starts with NaVi gaining a two-man advantage in the pistol, but still losing the round. After an eco round, NaVi brings guns out in the third. And they are successful in converting an A-hit into their first attacking round. With NaVi in the lead, FaZe quickly put together rounds in a row thanks to a successful 2v1 defense by broky and twistzz, putting NaVi on a bad buy. Crushing the partial-buy, and following it up with a rain 2v2 win, FaZe put themselves in the lead. Broky sprays down four on a banana flank to shut NaVi down. NaVi takes the lead at 3-1 after cleaning up an eco round from FaZe. FaZe clan on their buy decide to fight for connector and are able to pick up two entries. That is enough to get the round in the bag with four left standing. In the next round, b1t opens the round by one-tapping broky out of the server at long, giving NaVi an avenue into A. FaZe saves in the 4v3 and the saved weapons propel them back in. The team immediately recovered from the loss and answer back with a force buy victory. FaZe gained just one other round in the half due to NaVi incorrectly stacking the B site. It ended up being a poor buy that finally put FaZe on the board as karrigan found an opening on electronic. But NaVi had no intentions of letting up. When the dust finally settled on the half, NaVi had a lead of 9 rounds going into the second half.The second half was a similar story at the start as NaVi quickly propelled themselves to match point. But when the match is between the two best teams in the world, anything NaVi can do, FaZe can do better! The international squad brings the game all the way to double digits shutting down attack after attack from NaVi. The first AWP comes out for S1mple but he is bested by broky. NaVi struggles to even get a bomb plant and FaZe secures Overtime.But in OT, s1mple and sdy ,both found openers than allowed NaVi to take the lead 17-16. Finally FaZe and NaVi end up in a 2v2 round, but s1mple makes an uncharacteristic mistake by walking through the smoke. FaZe Clan secure ramp control on the pistol round and trade it down to a 2v2 that is closed out in the favor of karrigan’s troops. Converting that into two more wins thanks to NaVi’s force buy and subsequent save. The Top 16 have advanced to the Last Chance stage. Each team have played 12 matches of the 18 allocated and HVVP were able to top the Survival Stage Standings with 143 points 🔥


Based on the standings, we can see that Group Green participants totally dominated the top spots as 5 of 6 of them finished in the Top 6. The best Group Red representative is LGD at #2 while the best Group Yellow representative is IHC at #8. I guess we can safely say that Group Green is indeed the strongest group (i.e - Group of Death) 🥵


A miracle happened in the very final game as Agonxi8 Esports from Pakistan were able to make a mad dash comeback, where they got a WWCD with 19 ELIMINATIONS! That boosted them from #23 to #14 to qualify 😲😱


Sadly for our remaining Malaysian representative; 4Rivals as they did not perform and finished in last place. GGWP and try again for the 2023 season 💪🏻

High UI Sounds are the sounds that only you hear. It helps you determine whether you have reloaded your gun, thrown a grenade, thrown stuff out of your bag, etc.

✓Pai Nan 
 
During Rank push Pai Nan is the worst spot in Sanhok because, we get caught up in the battle that's why we cannot move towards the Safe zone.


✓ Paradise Resort
 
The resort is located on the edge of the map.This spot is very dangerous for rank push players, because there is a high risk of encountering other players early on in the game that's why there is a very low chance of survival.


✓Bootcamp 
 
This area is often heavily contested due to its proximity to the center of the map and the abundance of loot available. It can be difficult to survive the initial landing and looting phase if too many players are in the vicinity.
